One trick I do when I mill an 80% 1911 frame is place a 3/4" X 3/4" piece of 4140 square stock between the plates of my jig so the vise jaws do not distort it when I clamp down. Another trick I use with 80% frames is to use drill bit shanks to line up the plates to the 80% frame. Good tips!
